Living near Wheeler National Refuge while growing up in Decatur, Alabama had a direct bearing on Michael becoming a wildlife painter.

With his knowledge he has gained recognition as an avid hunter and fisherman, he brings to life his work through a realistic and personal touch. His paintings have been among the best sellers in such prestigious wildlife shows as Game Conservation International and the Foundation for North American Wild Sheep.

Mike is a veteran of twelve African hunting safaries, and many North American hunts. He specializes in North American and African big game art, and his work has appeared in many national magazines.
